On the 29^th of July 1991 Doig`s Ltd (trading as Doig`s of Glasgow) was born. Founder & managing director Andrew Forsyth reckoned with hard work, good committed staff and some shrewd investment in quality coaches the well established and well respected name of Doig`s could live on and be successful. From a couple of leased coaches, the workload gradually increased, coaches & staff were added and in 1999 Doig`s moved to custom built facilities less than 1 mile from Glasgow city centre.

Our impeccable reputation now precedes us, the majority of our clients coming from personal recommendations and repeat business. This has been nurtured from Andrew's early experiences in coach hire. A number of the original staff from the revised setup in 1991 still remain, with this continuity helping to maintain Doig`s original beliefs - Quality Vehicles, Quality Staff & most importantly Quality Service to our customers.

One of our many repeat customers has been Scottish Badminton, who has staged two Badminton Sudirman Cups in Glasgow. This event, one the largest in world sport, with 59 countries represented at the 1997 event and 48 at the 2007 event, have made Doig`s the transport provider of choice at both events, transporting over 80,000 passengers during the two week events.
 

Whilst Doig`s has grown and adapted over the years into the organisation you now see, the family setup remains with Andrew's son Iain employed in the company since 1997. And with the youngest member of the Forsyth family Joshua, although still at primary school, already expressing an interest in the business the Doig`s name should be one that spans for many decades to come.
